What is nDVR and How to Enable It?

nDVR (Network Digital Video Recorder) allows you to record a live stream while providing viewers the ability to play or pause the live stream, rewind to a previously recorded point, and resume viewing the current live point. This feature is supported on devices or players that handle HLS (HTTP Live Streaming).

To enable nDVR, follow these steps:

1. Login to the 5centsCDN console.
2. Navigate to Live Streams and select either Push or Pull based on your setup.
3. Click the Manage button next to the stream.
4. On the redirected page, locate the nDVR option.
5. Enable the feature and set the retention period (in minutes, up to a maximum of 180 minutes).
6. Click the Save button.
7. You will receive the nDVR-enabled playback URL from the console under Playback URL/Embed code.
