Follow these steps to set up your white-labeled domain using the 5centsCDN reseller module:

1. Register a Domain:

Purchase a domain that aligns with your branding (e.g., yourcompany.com).

2. Point Name Servers to 5centsCDN:

To manage DNS via 5centsCDN, you need to point your domain’s name servers to 5centsCDN. This step must be done through your domain registrar.

The required name servers for 5centsCDN are:

  • rns1.5centscdn.com
  • rns2.5centscdn.com
  • rns3.5centscdn.com
  • rns4.5centscdn.com

3. Configure DNS Settings:

Log in to your domain registrar’s account and update the name servers to the ones provided above. Allow some time for DNS propagation (this may take up to 24-48 hours). Once these steps are completed, you can manage your white-labeled domain from the 5centsCDN dashboard.

Alternative: Using Glue Records Instead of Name Servers

If you prefer to use glue records to configure your white-labeled domain, follow these steps:

  1. Register Glue Records:
    • Log in to your domain registrar’s control panel.
    • Look for the option to add or manage host records or child name servers.
    • Register the following glue records by adding your custom name servers
e.g. ns1.yourcompany.com ns2.yourcompany.com and pointing them to the IP addresses provided below:
      • ns1.yourcompany.com185.136.96.66
      • ns2.yourcompany.com185.136.97.66
      • ns3.yourcompany.com185.136.98.66
      • ns4.yourcompany.com185.136.99.66
  2. Update NS Records:
    • Update your domain’s name servers to point to your custom glue records:
      • ns1.yourcompany.com
      • ns2.yourcompany.com
      • ns3.yourcompany.com
      • ns4.yourcompany.com
  3. Verify DNS Setup:
    • Use a DNS lookup tool to verify that your glue records are correctly set up.
    • Confirm that your domain resolves correctly through the custom name servers.

Using glue records allows you to fully white-label your DNS setup while maintaining control over the domain configuration. Once configured, you can continue managing your domain from the 5centsCDN dashboard.
