Secure Token
An access token contains the security credentials for a login session and identifies the user, the user’s groups, the user’s privileges, and, in some cases, a particular application. Typically one may be asked to enter the access token (e.g. string 16 random characters consists of 0-9 and a-f) rather than the usual password. Token always has an expiry date/time.
Geo Block
Geo-block or geoblocking is a technology that restricts access to Internet content based upon the user’s geographical location.
Domain Lock
A domain lock is a security setting that prevents unauthorized attempts to access your CDN content by certain websites/domains.
Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure
(HTTPS) is an extension of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). It is used for secure communication over a computer network and is widely used on the Internet. Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is a combination of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) with the Secure Socket Layer (SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol.
Origin Server
The origin server is the first server in CDN. The clients are pushing content to the origin server. The selection of the origin server is based on the geographical location. In simply the origin is the server where the content resides.
PUSH Mode
Your local computer pushes content to the CDN server and then CDN cash it to a user browser.
Session Description Protocol
It’s a type of stream extension. SDP is intended for describing multimedia sessions for the purposes of session announcement, session invitation, and other forms of multimedia session initiation.
Video Codec
A video codec is a software or hardware that compresses and decompresses digital video. In the context of video compression, codec is a combination of encoder and decoder, while a device that only compresses is typically called an encoder, and one that only decompresses is a decoder.
Content Delivery Network
A content delivery network (or CDN), is a large distributed system of servers deployed in multiple data centers across the globe. So if an end-user puts in a request for live content from the US, a CDN will deliver it from the closest server to minimize bandwidth requirements and provide the smoothest video stream possible.
