HTML5 (Hypertext Markup Language version 5) is the latest version of the HTML standard that is used for creating web pages and applications. It is an update to the previous HTML 4.01 version and includes new features such as video and audio playback, local storage, geolocation, canvas for drawing graphics, and semantic tags for better structuring of web pages.
